Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival

Greg had Tuesday off, so we decided to venture out into the beautiful spring weather to Woodburn and the Tulip Festival. It was a lot further away than I realized... felt like we kept driving and driving. And it began to rain at one point along the way, giving us pause to wonder whether it would all be for naught. In the end, we experienced some cold, some hot, and some wind, but thankfully no rain!

I love tulips. I used to keep a garden outside of my playhouse when I was a kid, and I planted tulips, daffodils and irises. I can't wait to have a flower garden again! It's been years and I've been longing for it, as I long for a dog! But I know that the time will come when we are settled enough to welcome both flowers and pets into our family for good :)
