Seattle Anniversary Trip

We decided to take a mini-getaway for our anniversary—working from home makes me stir crazy and we both get the itch to travel now and then! Seattle is pretty close, the weather is cool (I know you think we're crazy for feeling the need to leave Oregon for a cooler climate. Ha!), and there is lots to see and do. The trip up was pretty easy, although there was a lot of traffic downtown. I had no idea traffic could get worse than LA!

We started with a trip to Red Mill Burgers...delicious! Then we went to Gas Works Park, which used to be a refinery. We watched planes take off and land on the water, and enjoyed the sunshine and all the kite-flying. Ethan had a blast in his stroller. Now that he's sitting in it without the snap-in carseat, he can see all the action!

Next stop: Space Needle!

Then it was time for a relaxing evening in...

On Sunday morning, we met our friends Tiffany and Ryan Perkins for breakfast at the Brown Bag Cafe. Sorry, forgot to take pictures :( Then we visited Pike Place Market (home of the original Starbucks) and the waterfront.

Ethan napped for a bit. Thank goodness for reclining strollers!

It was a nice mini-vacation, super fun and restful!
