Baby's First Trip to Disneyland

Does it count as a first if the baby is still inside? ;) Greg and I went to Disneyland because a) a friend of his works there and signed us in free, b) I HAVE to go when it's decorated for Christmas, and c) we thought it would be a good opportunity to take a Christmas card photo and find something unique from Pooh Corner for the baby's room.

We went on lots of fun kiddie rides and both of us enjoyed a few firsts of our own. We're not annual passholders, but we've been to the magical kingdom our fair share of times, and it amazes me how every time we go, we can experience something new. I'd never been on King Arthur's carousel or seen the "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience" show. Greg had never been on the Snow White, Winnie-the-Pooh or Alice in Wonderland rides.

We got lots of great holiday photos and had a good time, but unfortunately I was not impressed with Disneyland's selection of Winnie the Pooh items. (Dear Disneyland, you should really think about stocking classic Winnie the Pooh merchandise like you used to. It's hard to find and as its creator, one would expect you to carry it.)

We cut our visit short in order to take an afternoon nap before our trip to Hollywood. We carpooled up that night with a few couples from church in order to see "A Christmas Carol" in 3D at the El Capitan Theatre. It was really good! And the bonus pre-show with music, song and dance, plus a display of Dickens artifacts and behind-the-scenes elements, was really great, too. Fun day!!
