All the Things I Forgot to Miss About Having a Newborn...

• Getting spit up on mid-feeding, nearly every time. Consequently washing nursing bras daily, and telling myself I need to buy more, stat, but never finding the time to do it.
• The way they don't like being laid down, even after you think they are completely out.
• How many diapers they go through!
• The diaper explosions...
• The mountains of laundry.
• The high-pitched screamy cry that says, "I'm hungry, feed me NOW!"
• The sleep deprivation, obviously.

And yet, somehow, it's worth every minute! Maybe it's that beautiful smile... ;)
