We started by taking some pics of the kiddos with Mommy, because let's face it, I'm usually the one behind the camera (certainly not because I'm still in my pajamas, without any makeup, maybe even without having showered for a couple of days...).
Say cheese!
Nana B got Madeleine this awesome outfit (and she is my favorite gift this year! Isn't it crazy to think last Christmas we were celebrating Ethan's first Christmas, and this year we are celebrating Madeleine's first?!)
Boo! Found you!
Mushrooms? Yes, but not in your mouth!
We found our tree! It's a big, beautiful, fragrant Grand Fir and we had to buy a new tree stand for it, because it's so tall!! I love having high ceilings and a big house!
Zoo Lights is an annual tradition at the zoo. They decorate A LOT, everywhere, and the lights aren't just crazy big and beautiful, in the shapes of animals, but many of them also move! An elephant that lifts its trunk to spray water on itself, for instance, or a giraffe that raises its head to eat. Not only that, but you can take a ride on the awesome decorated train, and along that route there are scenes where a progression of lights makes it look as though a deer is running, a penguin is sliding, a gecko is chasing you and an ant is carrying a leaf along beside you. They actually place a progression of lights in a row and then they light up one after another, making an animated scene. It's so cool!
