This year, we celebrated Madeleine's first Christmas, and Greg had the day off! Double wow!!
On Christmas Eve, we read "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" and the story of Jesus' birth. On Christmas morning, we opened gifts and ate cranberry muffins. The day was peaceful and fun, spent enjoying one another, cooking, and playing with new toys. We had a big Christmas dinner and dessert (apple-cranberry pie...yum!) and talked to friends and family throughout the day.
It was a little bit sad to come to the end of the holiday season. It seems to go by faster every year, and we really have to work to slow down and savor it. Our kids make it magical and fun for us in a whole new way. Merry first Christmas, Madeleine!
