Ethan's 4-month check-up

Ethan went to the pediatrician yesterday for his four-month check-up! We really like our new doctor. Ethan weighs 16 lbs, 10 oz and is 27 inches long. He is in the 95th percentile for height! We hope he'll be tall like daddy ;) He is right on track with his weight gain. He can now roll over from stomach to back, which the dr. said is early, as are the two teeth already poking through his bottom gums! He can start rice cereal now, and will start on some stage 1 foods at 5 months, then stage 2 at 6 months. We are going to break out the high chair! He is sleeping well at night, usually all the way through or with one wake-up after about 6 or 7 hours.

He is happy, talkative and giggly. His favorite things are the stationery entertainer, or lying on his back on the changing table (go figure!). He is a very social baby, and loves the girls. They love him too! Greg and I went to a movie last night and Ethan did awesome with his sitters. A family we met through our house church here watched him. We heard that the two oldest daughters fought over him, and the mom got a little time in after she insisted ;) lol. We will probably hire the oldest daughter for sitting in future. She has lots of experience, with 8 siblings!!

We love it here in Oregon and are making friends fast! We hope to visit CA sometime in the fall or winter. Looking forward to having a possible white Christmas here in Portland :)
