Happy Birthday, Ethan!

What can I say? I can't believe our son is five years old. Time flies when you're keeping up with three kids! We've been challenged more in the past five years than at any other time in our lives. And we've been blessed more, too. I'm thankful for what a great big brother Ethan is, for his silly smiles and his love of games and jokes. He is sweet and fun and smart and so very unique. We couldn't ask for anything more!

On his special day, we made blueberry muffins, sausage and eggs for breakfast, along with a special treat: chocolate milk! We put a candle in everything he ate (one of my favorite traditions!). Ethan loved blowing out the candle and being sung too. He also loved his birthday balloon! We had grilled cheese in the shape of trains and stars for lunch. Then for dinner, it was his favorite meal: hot dogs and berries of all kinds! His party won't be for a couple of weeks, but I practiced the race track cupcakes :) Super easy! Thank you, Pinterest ;)
